Why Most Diets Are Guaranteed To Fail In The Long Run

You already have some knowledge on how to lose weight because you’ve been there. Diets don’t work as they promise to. If they do work, the results don’t last for long. Have you ever asked yourself why?

It’s because there is something defective in the way diets are designed, and it starts from the way they work for your body.

In order to understand why a diet is going to leave you aching for more food after some time, it’s important to understand the way your body needs and handles food.

All food falls into one food group or another, and each of these is needed for proper body function. You are designed to eat every few hours because your body is continuously using up what you have consumed to keep you going. And then along comes a diet that tells you to cut this food and that food from your daily intake.

Initially, your body will think “Oh, we’re just hungry, we’ll be eating soon.” It waits and waits and then it notices that in fact, it’s not going to get one or the other of the foods it needs. So it goes into your reserves, which it has always had in case something like this happens.

Our body will start to eat the reserves and because it is depleting, it starts to need replenishment and reserves are a must for any body.

Ever heard people on a diet say that they have a craving? This is exactly what is happening. Their bodies are missing something vital that they are used to. Eventually, when they get the particular food that supplies the nutrient (which is now in short supply), their brain is already encoded with a certain message.
It’s telling their cells that they need to gorge themselves just in case they go through the same process again. Now you begin to understand why after a diet, you tend to gain weight. Your body is preparing itself for another starvation season.

Some diets will ask you to eat only certain food types. That means whatever you’re missing out on, your body will crave for in the end. If you avoid eating starch for a long enough period of time, watch what happens when you eventually do get it. You can hardly get enough of it.

In the process of trying to replenish, you are now gaining fat. The result of course is extra weight that you could have avoided in the first place by eating properly and getting enough nutrients that your body needs.

Some of the methods that have been introduced in the market to help you lose weight are even worse than the strict diets themselves.
Diet pills are designed most of the time to repress your appetite. Any health companies will tell you that the pills are designed to supply you with the different nutritional needs of your body. But how does a single pill, taken 3 times a day can help you do this is not explained clearly. You need a certain minimum amount of each nutrient in each food group to keep you healthy and strong, and these pills are not going to do that for you.

The diet pills work by making you lose your appetite so that you can use up your reserves. In the end, when your reserves are used up, you’re in trouble because your body does not want to just eat, but prepare for another (upcoming) season of starvation. Diet pills are possibly worse than diets because they contain chemicals, flavoring, and color as well.

So be wary of taking diet pills. Anything that promises an easy and fast way is often a disappointment in the end
